Bet you thought…
I'd share a great Thanksgiving recipe, right? Instead, let's talk about something deeper, something that might actually change how you move through the holidays (and life).
I recently reread The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, a practical guide to personal freedom that cuts straight to what matters. One review puts it perfectly: "Essential reading for keeping a healthy mind in this world. It's easy reading and you will have a great mind set to improve your life!"
For so many of us, the holidays aren't just about the turkey. There are buttons that get pushed, old dynamics that resurface. If you love the book Let Them by Mel Robbins (I do!), you'll find The Four Agreements is the perfect companion. I did a Fireside Chat on this, if you missed it, you can catch the replay here!
Now…I do have a warm recipe for you. A simple stovetop potpourri that'll make your home smell like the warmest, coziest version of the holidays. You don't have to bake an apple pie to have this magic in the air...
Simple Stovetop Potpourri:
A few slices of an orange
1 tablespoon whole cloves
1 3-4 inch cinnamon stick
Simmer it all in a small pot of water on low. Pure, effortless holiday ambiance, couldn’t be easier or more delightful! For more potpourri tips, click here for my instagram tutorial!
Here's a sweet idea: Bundle these ingredients in a mason jar, or in a little cellophane bag as shown, with a handwritten note and give it to someone who could use a little warmth this season. Without any fuss, it's the kind of gift that says "I'm thinking of you", to warm their heart and yours.
And if you know someone navigating tricky family dynamics right now? Someone who might need that reminder from The Four Agreements? Forward this their way. Sometimes we all need to know we're not alone in this. Here’s Amazon Affiliate Link!
With love from my kitchen to yours,
Linda 💛
