Nourishing. How do you nourish yourself?
I’m working with a client that asked such a good question: Define nutritious…What do you really mean by that? I love this question. Let’s talk about it, reflecting on how we nourish ourselves and others.
Food Priorities: Simple, Healthy, Delicious
Gatherings: Unfussy, Creative, Meaningful

“When I talk about nourishment, I mean anything that feeds your whole self - body, mind, and spirit. Food is the most obvious one, and it’s essential. But think about what else makes you feel truly fed and satisfied in life.”
✨Physical nourishment: Good food, yes, but also movement that feels good, quality sleep, fresh air, sunlight
✨Emotional nourishment: Connections with people who really get you, laughter, feeling heard and understood
✨Mental nourishment: Learning something new, engaging conversations, creative expression, problem-solving.
✨Spiritual nourishment: Time in nature, meditation, feeling part of something bigger, acts of service.
Think about times when you felt most alive and satisfied - often it wasn’t just after a good meal, but maybe after a great conversation with a friend, or finishing a project that you feel proud of, or spending time somewhere beautiful.
Often our focus is on food for nourishment, we might end up trying to fill other hungers with eating. When we nourish ourselves in all these ways, food becomes one beautiful part of a much richer life.
